I signed up to bring some bread to our
Lenten dinner at church for
Wednesday. I decided to make some bread today just in case it did not work out since I was making it from scratch for the first time. I decided to try "Rustic Italian Bread". Here is how it turned out.

Alissa, you bread looks awesomely good. You did a great job, just wish I could taste it!
I will try to make some and bring it when we come down if it turns out well!
I just had to look at it again today! Did you make it by hand or do you have a breadmaker that made it part way? The photo, the shine on the bread, the flour it's sitting on, really look professional!
I agree. That bread looks awesome. You'll have to share how you managed to make it look so perfect. Did it taste as good as it looked?
I do not own a breadmaker. This was completely from scratch by hand. The pretty glaze involves brushing eggwhite over the dough before it goes in the oven.
I agree. It looks so perfect. Nice work.
mouth-watering!
I'm salivating ... hmmm. Too bad I forgot my lunch today. Eww, now my keyboard is getting sticky and slippery with all the slobber dripping from my chops. Sorry, too much information.
