Wall Drug, Rushmore and more

I have been told by numerous people, that I have to stop at Wall Drug if I ever make it to the Black Hills. We went. We saw. We conquered. I am also okay never feeling the need to go again :).

The Wall stop was immediately following the Badlands tour. We ate tasty Buffalo burgers for dinner at Wall Drug. Andrew picked a wonderful restored old hotel in down town Rapid City for our first night. The following day we visited Mt. Rushmore. I actually made it all the way around the trail to get a closer look. Somehow the direction we chose to take on the loop had all the stairs going up and so it took me a little longer. If we had known, we would have gone the opposite direction and mostly just gone down stairs. Live and learn.
Andrew also planned a special trip for us on the "1880 Train". It travels from Keystone to Hill City and back. It has open windows and we just enjoyed the scenery and relaxed. Perfect for a pregnant woman in her 3rd trimester! The views of the Black Hills were beautiful.

The Badlands

Before we joined the rest of the family in CO, Andrew and I enjoyed a mini vacation together. I had never seen the Badlands so it was our first stop. I didn't to too badly for being this far along.

More vacation to come.

Garden Variety

I just wanted to show off my garden produce as this is my first year gardening on my own. We are getting daily tomatoes and Andrew is enjoying them on his salads. The broccoli is not half bad. Then there is the zucchini. This zucchini has a story. We were gone on vacation and I had not checked the plants in about a week. I recently lost one of my zucchini plants to rot as we have had so much rain and sitting water. The 2 plants I had left were not producing like the one that died. I went out to check the plants today for zucchini. All I could fin on my "non-productive plant" was one the size of my finger. After staring at the plant for several minutes and lifting leaves, my eyes finally focused on this big guy. No WONDER I wasn't getting a big yield; all it's efforts were put on this one zucchini. To my surprise, nothing had eaten at this thing before I found it. We were only able to eat half of it tonight. Considering I haven't used any fertilizer, it is not half bad!!!

34 Weeks

Hi all. Just thought I would update you on our little one. He/She is measuring right on track as far as uterine measurement is concerned. Still no ultrasound to actually confirm all is well. We are trusting God at this time in this area. Here is my belly shot at 34 weeks:
