St. Nicholas Celebration - 2011

These two photos were taken at the MOPS & POPS dinner. We got childcare and attended the celebration this year. It was fun. We sat as couples until they started a men vs. women game. (I have my hands folded and Andrew is standing behind/next to the beam.)
Here is Levi helping dad set up the tree. <3
Here are a few photos of my decorations this year.
Jan, notice anything different in the photo below? (think horrible vallance/curtain thingie)
I made personal pumpkin pies in jars. They were pretty tasty.
Here was a quick family photo thanks to the gift of a camera remote from Andrew. We have mentioned in years past that we open our family gifts on St. Nicholas day instead of Christmas.
I attempted to get Levi to take a photo sitting in front of the tree. I got this one and then after that they all were like the one below it. (Toddler boy who can't sit still!) :)Andrew also got me a set of macro filters that fit over my lenses. I took this one that I thought was interesting.
Levi got his 1st set of giant Legos. He loves building with Daddy. Here he is unwrapping this years ornament from his stocking.

These are cards I made for mom for Christmas.

This is a 1st birthday card I made for a friend of Levi's. I am not sure if I already posted it.
This is his friend wearing the winter headband I made for her.
Here is a scarf I made from a plain flat scarf. I needed a gift for a mops gift exchange.

Thanksgiving part 3 - Beach Fun

I always love going to the beach. Levi thoroughly enjoyed his time as well.
There was much splashing and digging done by Levi.
He even waded around in the water with Andrew and did a little rock climbing.
It was all fun and games until.......

Thanksgiving Part 2

Levi has become a little ham. He does things to make others laugh. He often will stick something in his mouth that doesn't belong there and let it hang out and then turns to look at us and laughs while his eyes twinkle. He also looks so cute playing in this hat, I just had to post it.
Levi & Grandma looking very cute and Christmasy. While at Grandma & Grandpa's house, Levi began to climb in earnest due to the curiosity he had concerning things on tables. He wanted to touch the answering machine buttons in this photo. We heard the phrase, "No new messages" over and over again. He thought that was pretty awesome.
He also enjoyed the camel bells. I remembering loving these as a child too. He was stretching on his tip toes to touch them.
This picture is precious.
He really enjoyed "piano time" with Grandma & Grandpa.
Levi also took up walking in earnest. (Until he bumped his head really hard.)
Here we are enjoying Craig Park.Grandma & Levi face off against one-eyed duck.Duck watching.Beach and zoo pictures to come.

Thanksgiving Fun

We loved being able to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Brea Balsleys this year. We left California bummed about not getting a family photo this year but then I realized I took this photo and it is a family photo! Even Aunt Bea made it in!
This is my brother Stephen and his fiancee, Meagan. We are excited you are joining the family, Meagan! (This photo was taken right before my camera and dad's tripod went through the glass cabinet...)Levi's 1st pumpkin pie. He liked it!Uncle Stephen playing puppets for Levi. Thanks to Stephen, I got to play with a Red camera. These babies are the type that are shooting the new Hobbit movie right now.More to come!
